looking for an app that merges different google link containers
Working on the book (close to wrapping it all up now) has led me with a beartrapful of links and they're stored in one of three different containers that were produced by the very same Google, yet they're intraversable, immovable and unmergeable. I've got a bunch of links in my Google Bookmarks list, another in my Chrome bookmark list and yet another amongst the starred items in my Google Reader. Do you know about any apps that do merge these three linkgrabbers into one?

And the weekly WTF video comes from not /b/ or any of the fetish boards but popculture hitmen IO9 themselves. What you're about to see is 1, quite disturbing for the faint-hearted 2, quite WTF for us raised on gore sites 3, a wonderful dedication of human flesh to the Lovecraftian gods 4, a weirdingly apt Cthulhu cosplay (we could imagine more snakes woven into a human body but then again, who couldn't). And we raise an eyebrow over the fact that this came from Sichuan serpent master Lui Fei (and yes, those snakes are venomous), not anyone from Japan. We've seen mutating cosplay acts from Thailand, this from mainland China, a shroud of secrecy from Vietnam.. Japanese WTF, you gotta get your weirdness straight and upfucked once again. new Will Wright game transforms your data into a game
Will Wright’s next game, titled HiveMind, will harvest players’ personal information and turn that data into customized gameplay situations, the Sims creator revealed in a VentureBeat interview on Wednesday. (...) Wright’s plan is to have HiveMind use this data in order to lead players into a gameplay situation based on their real-life hobbies and interests. Wright used a real-life example in which he stumbled upon a gathering of car enthusiasts — a hobby he himself shared. Yet another concept video revoking the almost pornographic love for glass or glass simile touchscreens and most of this tech has been out there in the Microsoft Future vision videos. Reminds me of the same stuff that gives me headaches during finishing up the last few dozen pages of the book I'm working on: we've seen this so many times it's already a cliché and those three compulsory paragraphs of The Enthusiastic Blogger's simply not coming out. Not enthusiastic about that kind of glossy wanking. Not saying I wouldn't be the first one to get subdermal circuitry implanted to get online inside my own brain without cables but that is so much flashy consumer technology that I'm only interested whether it can be hacked, gotten off the surveillance grid and used for porn. NEW LOOT: the SVK comic (by ellis, d'israeli & berg)
SVK reinvented comics, nice first sentence, quite dramatic, though. Take a step back, reiterate.
SVK is a healthy transfusion of Cherenkov light and battery acid blood into the heart of the comics industry turned a tad uncogged and shambling. Warren Ellis, misanthropic PCP godhead of the hard-edge counterculture, Matt D'Israeli Brooker (with art and inkery dipped into Judge Dredd, Future Shocks, Sandman or Kill Your Boyfriend) and London-based design agency BERG stands behind this shoulder-mounted package of sheer ROCK and a whole lot of Easter Eggs, turned into something of a cheeky prodigal bastard child.
Ellis calls SVK a Kafkaesque Bourne Identity and he has truth, revealing emerging issues of data clouds, information leakage, surveillance and active lens technology through an object called SVK (quite similar to the prototype in Gibson's Virtual Light) and the eyes and actions of Thomas Woodwind, an Ellisesque protagonist of a troubled professional background, a blood-spangled mercenary mindset and a hacker sidekick to make a contemporary spy story look straight enough.
The greatness? The issues breathing down on your neck and those same cards played out in the narrative to get the creative cells going. The idea of multiple layers of narrative -reading the comic is one thing, then reading it again with the SVK (strategic vigilance key) object - a branded one-shot blacklight - will reveal extra facets of visual and contextual elements to combine back into the big picture. The foreword praise by William Gibson. The extra know-how ramblings by Jamais Cascio and Paul Gravett. The hilariously brilliant ads from breeding pygmy elephants to DNA-altering trousers, 4D printers and cerebellum plugins that will teach you Japanese in just 30 years? This watch design takes its inspiration from one of Scott’s favorite films as a kid, TRON, and from his Pimp Pimpin Ain’t Easy watch. He wants something that will get noticed when it lights up and that’s why he came up with an electroluminescence strip around the whole watch strap. The two rings (styled on a Tron Disc) represent minutes (outer) and hours (inner). The break in the ring represents the time in a normal clock face layout. (tokyoflash.com, via ToBal!)

After thirty years of possession and refurbishing content on a biological ego shell, Zoa Malakai has left the building in a mirror image. The fear of recognizing IT tore through the unconscious and the fading vibrations of the 8bit fractal acid, echoing within the mind of the Romanian workers tearing open the Freemasonry wall under the pretense of renovation, never to return, revealing yet another mechanism of magick, similar to how decadence, dysentery and frustration is known as the mechamothermind of Tlazoltéotl, goddess of the golden filth. Gods of death thereby acts as quasidivine psychic filters of the unconscious mind, reveal how the black box works and it will work for you. As long as you realize the filter is bigger than you and you are operating a much bigger mechanism you would comprehend in a daze of egotistic self-illusion and self-delusion. The pros and cons of Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I'm a cyberpunk and proud of it, even though I've always been the outsider in every single subculture I've managed to disrupt. I've grown up with Neuromancer, wrote my MA diploma in postmodern cyberpunk SF and I've always worked along the neon-coloured cultural gridlines that made people aware of biotech, the fusion of man and machine and all that stuff. I'm sinking my teeth into anything cyberpunkish with sweet agony and pulsing organs. Deus Ex: Human Revolution left me with broken canines and burst tear ducts with seeping coolant the color of Cherenkov sadness.
I've spent long days playing the press copy I've gotten from PlayOn Hungary to see the game others heralded as the best game of 2011 and the latest and greatest in cyberpunk. Verdict, it's tragically mediocre, a one-night stand gone stale, an equivalent of a fuck turned so boring you decided to watch TV and set up shopping lists inside your head while getting something of a blowjob simile. Don't get me wrong, it's got great aspects to it. In fact, it's got amazing aspects to it. But at the end of the day, it's just another game in the long line of high concept low realization shooters by cyberpunk wannabes. Or maybe it was all very different in the design documents at first. Trust me, I don't bulge with glee when I write this. (Watch out, a thousand spoilers inside!)

Got three Google Music beta invites here. Service is apparently US-based (although I had no trouble testing that in Europe). Very much beta so half the time it behaves like it's on glue and vodka but all the basic necessities are there. Just don't blame me when the dev guys decide to narrow the geo scope and you have your shit deleted overnight. the mad angelspit gig: 2011, budapest
When relaunching this blog, I said I regret keeping silent about people and acts of ROCK but whatever escapades of AWESOME, chaos, amazingness, bravado, weirdness or fuckery you end up doing, you always have to do it with the strongest spine and the biggest discretion to be able to walk away with your head high. So there's another black box story. What remains in the action logs? Tuesday night, covered in the stage sweat of Valerie, Amelia, Zoog and Matt. Called up on stage. Ending up with a new name Zoog Von Rock granted me, a few autographed memories of sonic RIOT, a whole lot of ideas we exchanged over early morning espresso Hennessy shots, my book concept and the product design itself fleshed out much much more, Zoog completely dumbfounded over the magnificence of Anker Klub's hummus, Sinred Estee and me cutting bike polo plastic sheets at 4am in front of my old university turned into a party place, an action-filled night with Sinred, Estee, Fiction, Lady Aisa, Zeck, Surreal Catharsis, Jinx, Moggio and Typhus - you all fucking ROCK and you have all contributed to this night NOT turning into a disaster. THANK YOU. One achievement unlocked. (PS: Below, that's Esteee's mixtape of the videos she made that night. Yes, we know there's no bass. Look grateful. I still have problems hearing three days later.)
