Not that I wouldn't start rubbing new music into your face all day every day, but here's just three longer podcasts I have to share with you. The artwork collage above belongs to Sun In Aquarius' new graphic studio Matik Design - although I got to know him through Enig'Matik Records, a brilliant storehouse of glitch-infested ambient/tech electronica and now he has a new podcast out (for Headphone Commute which is a must for you if you're into ambient). Then there's The Teknoist's bloody brilliant tongue-in-cheek new mixed-bowl podcast I Wanna Be Like John Peel and as a closure, Hard With Style, Headhunterz's monthly hardstyle compilation. Arnhem has Qlimax and now - the QR porn room
Hotel Modez based in the Dutch city of Arnhem (close to Germany) has launched a guerrilla marketing product: the QR-code porn room, available for just € 119 per night. During your stay you might not get a lot of sleep though. From walls to pillows, the whole room is covered with QR-codes. Walk around the room with your smartphone pointed at the codes, and they will unlock a world of erotic dreams on your screen.

Can't even describe perfectly enough the feeling of awe when watching a music production/insight video like that. HECQ's approach, his use of microphones (great idea with the hydrophone!) and how he calls his tracks living entities is just... reason enough to go back to his seminal album 0000 once again.

Toni Polkowski: This is my submission for "Anterior Cingulate Cortex". It's the name for the coming DVD from Perpetual Beta, a platform and network for the visualization of Netlabel Music that offers quality Graphic- and Motion Design to Netlabels and Musicians working under the Creative Commons License. The platform will be online end of 2012. More Infos on this project soon!
It's a collaboration with the Berlin based musician Huron, who creates this amazing soundtrack for that movie.
I wanted to create a mixture of experimental footage and martial art moves which should support the dynamic of the sound. (more on the `broken science` vimeo page)

Audio recording of a lecture & writing class with Q & A with students at Naropa University. Poet Allen Ginsberg is also in the audience & asks some questions. Burroughs covers topics including paranormal phenomena, magic, synchronicity, precognition, dreams, his cut-ups technique for writing, & he answers many questions from students & from Ginsberg in a Q & A. He reads from some of his fiction & non-fiction writings. The woman who asks many questions near the end & thanks him at the end I believe is Anne Waldman of Naropa U.
This recording comes from Naropa's audio archives available free to stream at archive.org. There the recording is listed as: "William S. Burroughs class on the technology and ethic of wishing - Part 1 (June 25, 1986)", plus Part 2. I've joined both parts together in this YT upload & edited out nothing. The short silent gap somewhere in the middle is found in the original too.

We are very excited to share with you today a glimpse into AYRIA's much anticipated new album with this upcoming digital EP “Plastic And Broken” that includes two original tracks, as well as five remixes. “Plastic Makes Perfect” combines a driving bass synth line inspired by older styled EBM, which has also now become part of the AYRIA arsenal of styles, but this time, the bassline is blended thickly with layers of intense and chaotic synths and chanting vocals. (Ayria finally coming out with some new material, judging by Missed the Mark, she's still ROCKING OUT with her powerful landmark grunge electro.)
30 years since their groundbreaking dark ambient album "This Death House" ATTRITION's Martin Bowes has combined forces with his wife Kerri on their full length movie score, written for the film G.H.O.S.T from cult U.S. horror film company Mutantville. The video was created and directed by the London-based visual arts collective Shynola. While there are only three characters in the short film, it speaks volumes about our reptilian instincts for survival. In a joint email, the members of Shynola say they "had a great conversation where the band articulated their ideas about modern identity, the effect of technology on culture and our inability to connect with others. We're fascinated by anthropology and coincidentally we had been toying with ideas for a feature film about a post-technology civilization, in which humans have reverted to primitive behavior.
