Less time and energy to write longer blog posts, so the narrative, as you've noticed, has gone to video. And then there's this, the perfect marker for what we've missed this summer and it's either a party of brilliance or an afterparty video of sheer genius (but hey, missing an olschool rave/happy hardcore liveset blessed by the hands of Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo on a beach in Australia?) but we pay our tributes of respect and ROCK anyways. In the background, that's Save Your Scrap for Victory by one of our fave hard dance icons, Headhunterz, who's just been voted #1 Hard Dance DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100 (and #36 overall).

mardock scramble: a new SF anime with girls, guns and floating neon signs
A couple of trailer versions out for MARDOCK SCRAMBLE: THE FIRST COMPRESSION, the latest anime in the pipeline for GONZO Digimation, as we've learned from our partners in crime and knights of ROCK, quietearth.us, with all the post-Blade Runner cityscapes, guns, ladies and grit we could all need without calling this stuff cyberpunk but still sticking to the essence of a far-off SF scene with intelligent neon animals, nineties haircuts and the sprawl itself. You get this trailer version because its apparent NSFWity (although I heavily doubt that but some of you are still prudent enough to unhandle this quite openly) and read more about that (including the story and other references) on quietearth and nipponcinema.

Zoog von Rock changes attire, satire and switches to a definitely different style in the new Angelspit blipvert: missing are the witty remarks and the fast cut editing - the gap filled with eight minutes of flashing studio lights, neon, an orgy of synthesizers, a video tutorial of how to vocode yourself properly and lots of brief cuts back from 1987, when someone with a Max Headroom masked hijacked broadcast signal on both WGN and WTTW. And this blipvert is getting more professionally-produced now. So go check out the new Angelspit mindwarp and while you're at it, buy their new stuff, Larva Pupa Tank Coffin that just got released yesterday, on a day of triple numerologist ROCK, 10/10/10!

Yes. I mean, that was shot in Mark’s office. The movie will have these emotional sentiments, but seen on a larger canvas. Thomas Jane is a remarkable actor who is more than willing to take chances, and I think that teaser is a taste of where he goes in the film. The man is not afraid.
