On the jpg above, that’s a “Netherlands and architecture” themed 5 euro commemorative coin also named The Architecture Fiver, designed by Stani Michiels. On the front side, that’s Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard, Queen of the Netherlands, her portrait constructed with names of famous Dutch architects. On the back side, a book shelf paying tribute to Dutch architects and the Netherlands – and both sides have been designed with free software. There is a huge amount of background info on Stani’s blog, Pythonide, about how he’s actually gone through with the design process – very brilliant and thought-provoking stuff. The television skies of Chiba City branded his brains in 1992. He hasn't recovered fully since. Re-wired his brain with a few years of FastTracker, hosted radio shows on the first .hu netradio for 4 years, went on to broadcast radio for another two. Worked on the absurd radio series Kónuszék, that actually led him to become a script writer for the multiple-award winning animation Nyócker.
